Back to Summer Hill

HULLO!
I went back to Summer Hill after school today, but MR Steggels wasn't there :( he was on camp. Anyways, the year 6's are the same as always, Yong is crazy, hyper, loud, Seamus is..... Seamus. Ailish is still a very hug-gy person - yes, to all the PLCians, more huggy than me. I almost considered doing a jellyfish hug and giving her a heart attack, but I'm too kind (again, inside joke). Catherine M-D is very quite, very nice, and I can't remember who else was there. BUT PLC GIRLS AND BURWOOD, listen up!!!!!!!!!! Apparently we're gonna play a charity match against each other - year 7 vs year 7! And Jimmy is coaching their side, so ELLA, MIA, get ur game on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Science Class

Today in science class I was bored bcos he was talking about acids, neutrals and alkalis and pH levels. I wasnt bored, so to speak, but tired and unfocused. So I started looking at SHPS pics and nearly cried in the middle of science class. Curse u (not really) Ella! U had to put that pic of 6tk and 6sh as ur desktop background.

Several people's emails

OMG! None of you poor guys sound like you've had much fun in the first week of school. Well, apart from spending the whole of my first lunchtime trying to figure out how the lock for my locker works, the case for me is totally the opposite. Georgia finally said hello to me without me saying hello to her first, we had our Yr 7 Swimming Carnival and I had my first technology lesson, where we learnt to use the LAZAR MASHEEN (the laser cutter)!!!!! I'm sure school for you guys isn't all downs, even though you get loads and loads of homework. Like, for the PLC kids, you finally get your own laptops. You're also lucky because you get to learn Geography, whereas we only have HSIE for stuff apart from English, Maths, Art etc. Is the music there good? Did you learn any new instruments? I was planning on learning a billion instruments, but my mum told me I didn't have the time. I know Susan's doing the Oboe, though. (Haha that rhymes)
Oh, and for the Selective kids, how's it going? Do you get laptops there too? In James Ruse, have you started farming yet? Are the older kids nice? We had a welcome party for the newbies last Friday, and there was a DJ and sausage sizzles and everything. The only sad thing in MLC is that the homework isn't hard enough, but that's where tutoring comes in. I hope your parents haven't sent you to tutoring yet, even though most of you do.

Anyway, I hope school gets better for you guys, an that you still get time to relax and everything. Look at everything optimistically, and don't take the comments of teachers seriously because they do tend to be a little discouraging in high school.

Salut!
Michelle

P.S. What languages are you learning? I chose French. I'm also gonna learn the drums.
P.S.S @Jade LOL, wut??? Your softball teachers get you to slide around...in the mud??? Like, bobsledding around in dirt? I kinda get what you mean, but the way you put it sounds so weird!

Zoe:

haha
nrth syd isnt bad at all Smile emoticon
i heard that in ruse you have 7/8 periods while in nrth syd we only have 5 periods, four days a week and tuesdays only have 3 :P

Michelle:
Ca va mal, Zoe. I didn't realise high school would be so busy! Mr Steggels was right, they do give numerous assignments at the same time. Your statement about the turtles was funny.

Oh, and to you other guys, are your schools doing musicals this year? Cause ours is doing one and I thought that might be a good idea for a reunion, but it's at the end of the year. So yeah, peace out.

Brian
Really, really late in the night. I stayed up doing Science Diagrams.
(2 questions left...)
But, while you guys are studying Japanese and French...
I'm learning Latin.
FEEL IT...
Laborum Fuc! (Do Work- Sounds exactly like f***)

Susan:
yup. 7 or 8 periods :) plus the teachers r creepie!

Sean:
And Susan annoys the public daily on the train carriage by constantly screaming and laughing.

Zoe: in nrth syd girls your not allowed to do that, you must not sit down travelling in public transport (so that the public always has free seats), you have to put your bag down so you won't take up much space and you can't be noisy. bcoz if you get a free ticket for public transport you gotta respect that, wen everybody else paid with their own money. *shivers* the bus driver always gives us that menancing stare as if to say 'get off my bus, a) you're noisy, b) you get free tickets c) there are so many of you that you crowd up the bus so that there's no air to breathe, bus drivers neva seem to be happy with us on board

Ruari: Fort street is epic and I'm having a great time. So far I have only got lost 3 times annoyed the hell out of a stupid Maths teacher and got a detention  :(.  And then got ranted at by the bus driver because I asked for him to open the back doors of the bus. (he when't absolutely mental!!!) but I met this really nice girl and ...... No just kidding and anyway u guys r lucky I'm a lone lonny loner but u guys have so many or the good old O.C guys. All I have is Wilson and no offence to Wilson that isn't saying much anyways I will c u guys round and please include me in all of ur conversation caus I only get half of what people are saying and most of it is in Chinese. Please stick to English or very basic French if you will.

Zoe's email

cool, im glad im rid of 'boy grossness'
so far in nrth syd, everything's just confusing for me, i got lost several times, the weather screws up the transport, my shoelaces always become undone, yr '8 and 9's always taunt the year 7's and I HAVE TO WEAR A FRIGGING DRESS T-T ...

BTW: sorry for uploading so much at once, but i dont have time in the week

My email

Good gracious. That was only a week or less' worth of my life. Imagine reading my entire life story! It would be a gigantic tome - all ur textbooks added together plus some more

Susan's email

Great except for the bit where douglas was taking off his belt. rrr. how gross can you get man?

Katherine's email

nawwww, zoe its not that bad
and jade, how much can u rite in one freakin email????

Patricia's email

plc isn't as good as it looks >.> we have 3 periods in the morning, recess which is mostly spent getting books for next period and getting laptops and seeing teachers about something. so i hav to eat a banana on the way to class. and then we have 2 periods and lunch which is also mostly spent doing other school related stuff and trying to get to a wet weather room which is always halfway across the school from our lockers. for art and dt, the rooms are in a building in another entire BLOCK which takes like 7 or 8 minutes to walk to with arms getting ripped off from carying books. my french teacher doesn't even explain how to say the words, just says it and tells us what it means without even telling us HOW TO SAY AND SPELL IT. art teacher is nice but got a giant animation assignment on first/second day i can't remember. i hardly see jade and emma and kelsey now, and our bags are so heavy that our backs are almost BREAKING and going hunchback. maths room stinks like rotten chicken and english teacher spends half the class talking about jesus which is supposed to be in christian studies. english teacher also makes us read with 'reverance' and we have to sound 'awed and hushed and respecting' when we read. science teacher is ok but makes us sit in his chosen spots ie. next to total strangers who ignore you except when u ask them something. i forgot to get my latop on friday morning so i didn't have it for english where we needed OneNote for, so i couldn't take notes. raining makes me hunch over my books and laptop and pencilcase, which makes me drop my stuff and get it wet. got lecture on how to use laptops and our school starts at 8.23am (AN: We must be at school by 8:15am) and ends at 3.04pm. what kind of freaking times are they??!! other than that, its fine.

High school

Those past few posts were emails between me and my ex-class mates. I'm gonna post some more :)

High school

Ok, that email was growing too long. Now school at PLC is way better, and I have 7 close new friends:
Madison/Maddie - She is really pretty and really nice
Kendall: Maddie's twin. She's awesome. Both of them do judo (going to a comp in canberra today) and they're state level in athletics (they came 6th (Kendall) and thirteenth (Maddie)) THEY ROCK!
Laura: In my English, Maths, Science, Geography and PD/PE classes. She's a white blonde, really nice and good at public speaking/debating
Vanessa: She's so nice, she's like my cousin in both appearance and personality (My cousin Angelina, btw). She is an amazing writer. In English, Science, Geog and PDHPE with me
Rachel: Looks a bit like Katherine, eats slurpies everyday at lunch, very sweet, I share speech lessons with her.
Eleanor: Science lab partner. Quiet, nice and good debater

Michelle: Yesterday in Geography we had to do field sketches of the city skyline but it was raining so we could only do it on the Macindoe (Library) Porch - we could see centrepoint tower. Kelsey did awesome sketches. Teacher was oohing and ahing her. I couldnt recognise what mine was. Personally, I prefer history. I gave a 1.5 min run down on world war 2 and the dunkirk evacuation in english class

Ruari: Isn't Sam in your school? And Jeremy?

Yes, we do get our own laptops but they weigh so much and everyone has one. We must carry them in our bags when out of school grounds. I am a hunch back now.

In English, I have Mr Hastie, he's a published education author. He's nice, a bit like Mr Steggels but not as scary. We are constantly typing on ONENOTE, and same as Science. Thats why I can write so much and go on and on. Because I type in every class. :( Including art and DT, but excluding maths

You know our teachers don't mark our homework? So I spend minimal time on it. Laura, Vanessa and Eleanor spend so much time and write 2 times as much as I do. I am drowning in homework :(

We have: How to use your computer properly lessons. We have to use Chrome (YAY!). I don't like the new chrome design. I liked the plus sign at the top where it has your tabs, not this rhombus thingy.

My maths teacher is nice, but useless.

I have "Madame Ernenwein" for French. She's nice but tall, blonde, supermodelly and scary.

We debated Trinity today. Well, I watched because I didn't make the ISDA team. I made the Social team -_-. I suck

Hows high school? Say high to anyone I don't see anymore :'(
Oh, and if you're in the 7B softball team, you have to be at school from 6:30 on tuesday and friday. Lucky (even tho teams aren't finalised yet) I'm in 7A which trains after school monday and wednesday till 5

Sorry, just remembered. They make you slide in the mud at softball trials, jog the length of the pitch twice (IT'S HUGE BTW) and it really hurts, especially the next day. Oh, I'm so stiff and sore and sunburnt and my mouth has swelled up. :( JUST BECAUSE IT"S A PRIVATE SCHOOL DOESN"T MAKE IT EASY! THE HOMEWORK IS LOADED ON US!

High school

Hey guys! I miss you and I have zero friends in my tutor group, which is like a class where your year 7 house group meets and we like do nothing. I don't have any friends in that class, cos half of them get out their iphones and text the person next to them -_-. I think, if I was gonna b friends with anyone, it would be Phoebe, Stephanie and Emma (NOT EMMA LIU. She's in Anderson (Dark Blue house) and she has Ella, Patricia, Georgia (not McNaughton)and ANOTHER Emma to be friends with. Today I had softball tryouts, and its been the best day of all at PLC so far. See, the second day my school issue laptop hardrive broke down and is currently being fixed in the IT department. I lined up for debating trials, ie, not eating lunch, and they ran out of time before they got to me. I applied for French and they put me in Chinese, so I spent 2 recesses and a lunchtime sorting it out, but now I don't have Mr Hetherington, the COOLEST ART TEACHER EVER! I ended up in the wrong classroom for my first lesson at high school (ART) and I went to Ms Robinson/Robertson or whatever her name is' classroom, and she got annoyed at me for leaving my laptop in my locker. It's too heavy to carry around. And now, I have her for art. Everyone's really nice, there are a couple of airheads in my tutor group, Ferguson (GREEN! WOO! GO FERGIE FROGGS!)The girls at softball today were really nice, especially Sophia B. That about sums it up. SOrry, it's really long.

How's high school?

SO.... How's it been for everyone?

What we have gone on and accomplished

Here are three pictures. Audrey, her first day at school, Miranda, I believe is modelling and Max sporting a new haircut. Tell me if u think the old hair was better (I think so. Sorry Max)! Also, if u think my haircut looks better or worse than the old one. So long for at least a week, JADE!

Emma L

Emma is one of my best friends :). I miss her dreadfully even though I see her often. She has those famous vampire teeth that people literally beg her to see. She's getting them removed in February. Emma can't stay mad at me for very long, and is very smart and talented. I predict someday she'll be a prima ballerina (SHE ROCKS AT BALLET!). Close friends include me, Kath X and Susan. She is in 6SS, plays the flute in Senior Band and Symphony Orchestra (She got an A on her third grade exam). Other instruments include: Piano, Saxophone and Guitar. She plays Netball in Winter. Good luck next year at PLC Sydney with me! ILY!

Sam A-P

Sam A-P plays the trumpet in Senior Band, touch footy and cricket as PSSA sport. His closest friends include Angus, Vincent, Liam and Max. He beat me in the selective test which proves he is very smart. Good luck next  year at Fort Street with Ruari! We miss u!

Vincent

Vincent is in 6SB and plays Alto Sax in Senior Band. He also plays cricket and touch footy for PSSA. Close friends include Sam A-P and Angus P (Sorry, not terribly sure there). He is also in the Year 6 Dance Group and Senior Choir. I believe he has two brothers, Morgan and Leo. Good luck to Vincent next year at Newington!
